ALPHA OMEGA WOMEN’S ALUMNAE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

BURSARY DESCRIPTION

TARGET AUDIENCE: Female Students Completing Grade 12

ALPHA OMEGA WOMEN’S ALUMNAE is an organization of university graduates of Ukrainian descent. This year we will be offering 4 bursaries of $1125.00 each to women (residents of Manitoba) of Ukrainian heritage who are entering full-time first year studies in a degree program at any accredited university.

Two bursaries of $1125.00  will be provided by Alpha Omega Alumnae and two bursaries will be provided in memory of a long time organization member, Pat Oster, through donations of family and friends.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Female student of Ukrainian heritage

2. Resident of the Province of Manitoba

3. Entering full time degree program at any accredited university

BURSARY GUIDELINES:

1. Demonstrated financial need

2. Academic achievements

3. Participation in Ukrainian community activities/organizations

4. Demonstrated leadership ability

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completion of application form

2. Copy of letter of acceptance from a university

3. Two letters of reference; one academic and one general

4. Official Mark Transcript
