2015 Rotary Career Symposium

“DISCOVER YOUR OPTIONS”

The 2015 Rotary Career Symposium takes place at the RBC Convention Centre at 375 York Avenue in Winnipeg on April 21st, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and April 22nd, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The theme this year is “Discovering Your Options.” Students will have an opportunity to hear and meet with 70 different speakers, talking about “A Day in the Life” of their chosen career. 200 of Manitoba's leading industries, employers, post-secondary and trade associations will also be hosted on the exhibit floor. “Career Discovery”, hosted by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters will once again be featured. Students will have an opportunity to participate in and learn about the world of manufacturers and exporters, including workplace technologies and high-demand careers available in that area.

New this year is Career Chats; students will have an opportunity to join professionals for 15 minute round table chitchats about their careers.

** Students are welcome to attend on Tuesday evening with their parents. The cost to attend for pre-registered/pre-paid students is $2.00; $3.00 at the door. Students who wear their wristband on Tuesday evening will be able to attend without additional fees. There is no charge for parents to attend with students. Students who are registered to attend on Wednesday should have their wrist bands given to them to wear on Tuesday evening.
